Pikes Peak 2011: RACE DAY

Sunday, race day. The event works roughly the same way each year. You get there before the sun comes up, and wait until mid-afternoon to race. It’s a by-product of running a large event on a mountain road (i.e. it’s crowded and the racers need to be in place before the fans clog the roadways). This year was especially bad…
