About

Hello and Welcome. Most of this website is about me, so having an “About Me” page seems redundant. If you aren’t already here looking for a specific facet of my work, let me give you the run down so you can find the information you’re looking for.

While I am primarily known for racing sidecars, my passion can be generalized as “adventurist.” I do cool things and tell a story about them. I talk to other people who do things and tell their story. The goal is to inspire, entertain, and educate people.

Finding more detailed information about my specific skillsets is easily done by opening the “My Skills” tab on the website menu and clicking on the skillset you are looking for. If there is anything you can’t find or if you are ready to collaborate, feel free to contact me.

Things I’ve Done Outside of My Main Skill-Set

  • I served as a truck driver in the US Marine Corps and worked as a truck driver and tow truck driver. I retrained as a turbine engine helicopter mechanic after than, but also worked in a few motorcycle dealerships in either the parts or service department. I managed my own race teams for about fifteen years, racing supermoto, road racing, and sidecars.
  • This includes about five years as a race director, vice-president, and president of the SRA-West, the club I raced sidecars with. This involved everything from websites and logo design to working with other racing organizations to host events, as well as taking disciplinary action and resolving protest against competitors. I also handled all press releases and published the organization’s newsletter.
  • I raced a sidecar in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb six times, setting the class record in 2011 and 2012, the last year there were unpaved sections and the first year it was all tarmac. I then reset the record in 2016, which still stands. In that time I won multiple regional and national championships in the sidecar racing category.
  • I have volunteered multiple times with the Veterans Charity Ride, which takes wounded and amputee veterans on motorcycle trips to multiple transformative events. I’ve piloted a sidecar for the ride photographer, done basic mechanical work and troubleshooting, acted as a veteran mentor, and handled plenty of the behind-the-scenes activities as a volunteer.
  • I have been a gigging musician and song writer for over 15yrs as well, though I stopped working seriously in the field in 2017. I’ve driven forklifts, excavators, tractors, bucket loaders, roll-off trailers, piloted small watercraft, rebuilt motorcycle engines, raced off-road, and traveled the US from corner to corner multiple times.
  • I’m also a competent photographer, having shot several motor racing events, rallies, portraits, and landscapes and nature settings. My main passion is story-telling, which I prefer to do with the written word, but have added photo and video work to my story-telling skill-set as well.

Currently I am on an open-ended journey, traveling North America and looking at South America next. I’ve been included in several pilot episodes for reality-based shows involving motorsport, as well as working on-camera to create tutorial videos. In 2011 I was on an episode of a SpikeTV show called Jesse James Is A Dead Man, where I raced as co-pilot on a sidecar piloted by the famous bike-builder.
