The 21st Century brings with it FOMO: Fear of Missing Out. We have to be on every network all the time to feel in touch. I push against this by using social media as eBillboards or eBusiness cards; i.e. I’m active on Facebook, but my other accounts are a place to leave news and gather news… not interact. In fact, Tumblr and Contently are purely designed as portfolio pages.
