Pictures Will Have To Do

WordPress has managed to make things difficult yet again. Now that it has rearranged pictures out of order instead of doing a cut/paste, here we are. We’ll just make this a random photo dump of the last month or so.

This random site is the grave of a US soldier who died in 1880. His remains were found in 1980 and the local VFW got him a gravestone.

His bones were found by a hunter down in the riverbed, which his current grave overlooks.

Breath-taking views are hidden in plain site.

If you run a motorcycle out of gas, you can usually lay it on one side. This will allow fuel on one side of the tank to slosh over to the other side, where the petcock is that feeds the fuel to the carburetor. My tank holds 5.4 gallons…I put in 5.367.

Some towns have nothing left but the cemetery.

Mining and milling ruins.

I love how varied out nation’s post offices are.

This is someone’s idea of deep snow blocking a mountain pass.

Camping is even more varied than post offices. From privately owned ones with showers and restaurants to dispersed spots with nothing more than flat ground.

Black Bear Pass, Bridal Veil Falls.

Vistas, views, and summits.

I’d liked to have given more context to the photos and explained where I have and what I have done, but WordPress done did it again, and I’m not the least bit happy with trying to interface with their so-called improved experience. They managed to mangle my post, but I don’t want to get into details and complaints. It is becoming increasingly likely though that I’ll build a blog on a different platform, then point the button to that website. Not ideal, but I’m not looking to build a whole new website either.

If I had thousands of people tuning in perhaps, but I’d rather be out living my life than creating online spaces to talk about life.
