Due to financial constraints, the final event we were scheduled to attend will have to be missed. The Bonneville Vintage GP at the Utah Motor Sports Campus is probably my favorite race of the season. It is well attended, the track is fun and challenging, the paddock is full of cool people and intriguing machines, and I always leave feeling like I could have gone faster. So it is with some frustration that I announce our inability to attend the Labor Day weekend event. It will be the first time I’ve missed it since first attending in 2010.
Matt and I will get together when he returns from some escapades and maybe we can add another event onto the calendar. There are actually two more races on the calendar that we weren’t originally planning on attending. Sadly though, this ruins our chances of a class championship in the AHRMA series, and there is only one class in the SRA-West series, which we can’t possibly win given how many events we’ve missed. We will just have to go after race wins this year and see where we are at when the season is over. Stay tuned.
